BRS worked with the Northern Corridor JV to provide bid strategy, facilitation and coaching services. This also included facilitating development of team culture, tools to entice collaborative behaviours.

Why they approached us

The team approached us to provide high performance bid services that included High Performance Alliance Coaching and Facilitation of establishment, foundation, leadership and a range of alignment, team development, role clarity, partnering and collaboration workshops.

BRS provided advice on how to prepare for and maximise outcomes of the interactive client meetings, developed a high performance plan to ensure alignment of activities and guide team success.

During the process Myer-Briggs tools were used for team development and diagnostics and BRS facilitated the development of key messages and a win strategy.

Bid coaching services were provided to the Bid Director, Alliance Project Manager and other bid team personnel, and BRS also assisted with peer reviews of bid submission documents and relevant project documentation.

BRS solution:

In late June 2017, Fulton Hogan along with their service partners, were nominated as the preferred tenderer for a $450m+ NZTA Northern Corridor project. The project is being delivered as an Alliance with NZTA, with Fulton Hogan, Jacobs, Opus HEB Construction and Gaia Engineers teaming up to work on this project which will ultimately provide better links for Northern Motorway (SH1) travellers in Auckland and improve transport options on the North Shore.

BRS has continued to be the high performance coach through the project delivery phase of this project through:

Ongoing continuous measurable improvements to the culture of the consortium through the bid submission and project delivery;
Delivery of winning bid strategy and team building workshops that enabled alignment on the values and preferred culture of the Alliance;
Improved individual and team accountability; and
Constructive shifts in leadership leading to outstanding project outcomes.
