NCI is a project aiming to provide better links for Northern Motorway (SH1) travellers in Auckland and improve transport options on the North Shore for freight, cars, pedestrians and cyclists. It includes a new motorway connection between SH1 and SH18, opening up access to the Western Ring Route and airport.

Why they approached us

BRS was initially engaged as an alliance coach for the bid stage and to ensure the formation of an aligned, high performing and united team.

Following the alliance being successful in winning the contract, BRS continued to provide ongoing support to the alliance as the high performance coach as they shifted to the delivery phase of the project.

BRS solution:

BRS provided a range of services to support the alliance in transitioning and carrying out the next phase of the project with an emphasis on leadership coaching and development as well as mobilising the project team quickly.

A focus was placed on ensuring the development of a highly constructive alliance culture at all levels of the project by ensuring that all factors that contributed towards a project being high performing were addressed.

Facilitation of quarterly AMT sessions ensuring a well-integrated and high performing team and bi-monthly PAB workshops;
Undertaking of the Organisational Culture Inventory (OCI) and Organisational Effectiveness Inventory (OEI) resulting in a highly constructive Alliance Culture;
Individual leadership coaching utilising the Human Synergistics LSI1&2 tool; and
Implementation of quarterly diagnostic surveys.
