The Procurement Alliance was established to develop the PPP procurement capability for transport projects in NZ and deliver value for money by procuring the best outcomes at the optimal price through a transparent and robust approach to commercial negotiation. The Puhoi Procurement Alliance included personnel from NZTA, Jacobs, GHD, Chapman Tripp, Bell Gully and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Why they approached us

To coach the procurement alliance team members to drive and achieve a value for money outcome through a different approach to engaging with the market that built trust and confidence in the PPP process.

Design and facilitation of tailored training to build commercial acumen and tender evaluation capability across NZTA, including sharing lessons learnt from BRS’s industry experience, and insights within NZTA;
Design and facilitation of team development and alignment workshops;
Development of key documents i.e. high performance plan, governance plan and role clarity matrices, and peer review of other key documents;
Facilitating interactive preparatory training and coaching for interactives focused on building internal capability in running effective interactives and increasing commercial acumen of Tender Evaluation Team; and
One-on-one coaching and team development workshops using the Human Synergistics and Myer-Briggs Type (MBTI) Indicator tools.
