Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia & Northern Territory (RFDS SA/NT) aspires to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Australia. To support and achieve their vision, RFDS SA/NT are seeking support to further develop their culture, strategy and leadership skills in building a constructive organisation for their people.

Why they approached us

RFDS SA/NT understands that its people are a vital component to the successful future sustainable growth of the organisation. A need was identified to understand the current climate and culture of RFDS SA/NT and to work towards achieving a constructive culture. BRS have a fundamental understanding of people and culture and were engaged to develop the capacity of both the leadership team and wider organisation to create an effective and high performing leadership team aligned with RFDS SA/NT’s organisational aspirations and values.

Issue 1 - Current culture not in alignment to desired culture of organisation

Issue 2 - Leadership team looked to further embed united practices to drive delivery of organisational strategic priorities and vision

Issue 3 - There is a recognised need to develop leaders at all levels of the organisation

BRS solution:

BRS utilised the Human Synergistics Organisational Culture Inventory (OCI), Organisational Effectiveness Inventory (OEI), Leadership Impact (LI), Life Styles Inventory and Myers Briggs Type Indicator tools within the organisation. Practical application was provided through the facilitation of a program of targeted strategy and leadership workshops, and individual coaching of the leadership team.

Facilitation of multiple workshops resulting in a united and effective leadership team able to progress towards achieving organisational strategic plan and vision
Individual coaching further increased self-awareness and embed constructive changes within the leadership team to collectively leverage on individual strengths and build trust and embed high performance behaviours within the team
OCI and OEI administered across RFDS SA/NT, with teams and locations developing up targeted action plans to achieve their desired organisational culture
