BRS was engaged by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) to provide strategic procurement advice services for a range of projects, including Granite Island Causeway, Flagstaff Road Widening and Main South Road Duplication.

Why they approached us

DIT was seeking highly experienced external independent advisors in the infrastructure industry with Alliancing experience to support their team. Specifically, they were seeking to assist them with procurement advice for a number of projects.

Issue 1 - Drive the procurement process to ensure value for money outcomes

Issue 2 - Work with a variety of contract models from panels, client side delivery, design, managing contractor and ECI

Issue 3 - Ensure there was genuine two way interaction between the Department and the supply chain service providers

BRS solution:

BRS provided input to and review of key procurement documentation and facilitated workshops throughout the EOI, RFP and ECI stages including:

Evaluation panel scoring session;
Post submission presentation and interviews;
Internal risk workshops;
Development of and peer review of key tender and project documents such as RFT documents, agendas, project governance plans;
Interactive workshop facilitation with proponents;
Collaboration and partnering workshops between leadership team and proponents;
Project management and additional advisory services; and
Project start up workshops.
