BRS was engaged by Edward River Council to design and deliver two bespoke training programmes that were rolled out to 80 staff. (1) Commercial acumen training which focused on developing the commercial capability of Council staff at a foundation level; and (2) Project management training that would build on the learnings from the foundation program to help the Council deliver high performing projects for their community.

Why they approached us

The Council was going through a period of change following a merger. The newly appointed General Manager recognised a need and opportunity to drive improvement in both the commercial acumen and project management skills of their staff. The aim was to ultimately deliver better value for money for the community.

BRS was approached to bring its significant knowledge of Local Government and combine this with experience delivering commercial acumen and project management training.
