Review of the infrastructure and depot operations of the City of Holdfast Bay. This included organisation structure, people and processes focussed on identifying efficiencies and cost savings that ensured they are delivering value for money outcomes for the community.

Why they approached us

The City of Holdfast Bay approached BRS to undertake a review of the infrastructure and depot operations to ensure they were well positioned to deliver value for money services to their community. This was driven by the need to ensure their Council could continue to deliver services efficiently and effectively.

Further, there was a need to review staff, positions and organisation structure to enable clear role clarity, decision making and authority that enabled the organisation to develop a constructive culture within the infrastructure and depot operations. This was important in ensuring any future direction aligned to the strategy and vision of the City of Holdfast Bay.

Issue 1 - Insufficient understanding of the expected service levels for activities undertaken by the Council

Issue 2 - Lack of alignment around role clarity of functions, activities and services undertaken by personnel across the team

Issue 3 - No clear road map around how the Infrastructure and Depot teams could look to meet the expectations of the community, their staff and other key stakeholders
