When you do leadership coaching you do lots of listening, lots of observing and give a lot of advice.  Over the journey however there are three key bits of advice that I have found work for me and have seen work for others. These include:

1. Get organised for the next day before you go to bed – Do the dishes, pack your lunch, pack your kids bags, iron your shirt, and journal ready for the next day before you go to bed.  This ensures you sleep well, wake up feeling in control, and start the day on the right foot.

2. Exercise in the morning before you start your day – Gets you in a positive head space, gives you time to yourself, and gets your body going which stimulates energy in your body for the rest of the day.

3. Have an attitude of gratitude – Focus on the things you appreciate in your life rather than the things that aren’t quite right.  Value the people in your life, value yourself, value your work, value your opportunities and value your time.  Try writing these in your journal before you go to bed at night.
